My self-reflection
At
this semester we had a subject called community services and it was weird to
hear that there is a subject called like that so we went to the class and we
knew about this subject and what should we do, however we needed to create a
group to do the volunteer and my group members was Saif, Abdulla, Eissa, Bashir
and me
To
begin with, we did a plan that we’re going to volunteer at Abu Dhabi food authority
and our supervisor was Abdullrahman Al Hashmi and he was careless and not a
person that you can depend on and we have put in our mind that next time we
need to choose the right supervisor, We took an action and went to MS. Rita and
told her about everything and she told Eliana about us so Eliana is our new supervisor
and she gave us volunteer at HCT and we separated our group to three teams so
every team can have multiple kind of experiences and skills.
We
had a third plan because our teacher was sad about our volunteering so I went
to my friends at the student console and told them that I want to do a
volunteer, they gave me a project that they need to do, the project is bringing
recycle bins to HCT, we searched for company’s and contacted with them and that
was a great experience because we felt that we had job and the HCT is depending
on us to do a great thing for it, we found a company that have like our
objectives so we brought the proposal and gave it to the administration.
I was
very happy with this subject because I had a great experience by being confidant,
answering phones at the reception and trying other people’s jobs and being patient
and I would love to do this experiences again but by studying everything before
doing and I already set mind that I will volunteer in my future life because my
country needs me to help them with loads of stuff.
